      No, they need a large pen.
      They don’t normally make any noise at night, but if anything such as an intruder disturbs them, they set up a huge racket. Lots of places, including breweries in Scotland, have “watch geese” because they are better than watch dogs.

      it’s along time until thanksgiving. No you can’t keep them in a cage. a pen with access to waterbut no not a cage.

      Sure you can…. it’s fun to let them roam, though. When they roam they chase dogs and just walk around like the biggest bullies on the block!
      They won’t be noisy at night. Expect noise in the morning.

      the question is not can you keep a goose in a cage, but should you. the answer is NO. you can have it as a pet but not in a cage. (except for maybe at night) But an outdoor shelter would be much better :D

      as for the cage, no that’s mean. and for the noise, most definately yes they are honkin’ all the time. i hear they make good watchdogs. they’re evil! i get attacked by them!

      If its a large cage atleast 1.5m L 1.5m W 1.5m H you would be able to other wise NO and if you live in australia you will need a licence.

      Keep them in a pen with water and game bird feed. If you keep them penned for a week, then you can let them out to wander the yard. They will be much happier that way.
