A goose’s eggs will hatch in 30 to 35 days. I assume that you are talking about a pair of Canadian Geese? If they only have three eggs this is their first or second year of trying to raise babies. They usually don’t start trying to lay and raise babies until they are four or five years old.
Then by about the third season they have it figured out and start laying more eggs. I have had hens lay as many as 19 eggs in one nest. That was a pair of birds that we knew for sure were at least 13 years old because that was how long we owned them. If you decide to keep the babies and you pen them up you would need a federal permit to contain them. The interesting thing about Canadian Geese is that they will return to the place they were hatched at. One pair on a nice lake will turn in to 150 in ten years. They have become a nuisance in the area that I live in. The zoo had sever pair that were pinioned and the lived on the zoo lake. Then they started mating and hatching babies. Now they are all over the county. It is warm enough here that they never hardly go south. There are some nice size lakes
within flying distance that they go to when the smaller ponds freeze over. A gang of them go to the zoo lake for the winter. They have a fountain thing that keeps the lake from freezing completely.
