i found a mother goose sitting on her eggs by a river and she looks helpless. should i bring her food and if so what kind?

We have a mother goose who has made a nest right outside our work. everyone is wondering if she eats at all while sitting on the eggs & if so what would be recommended to feed her? how long does the mother goose sit on the eggs until they hatch? Please help, thanks!!!

My parents live on a golf course and they just found a baby goose, all alone in the parking lot of the pro shop. Why would the mom leave it, and what should they do?
