I am going to pick up my little chihuahua puppy today but I was looking for clothes for her. Now, she is 8 weeks old and weighs about 16 oz. clothing would I buy for her? How tall would she be if she is only 16 oz? And, where would they make clothes small enough for her ?

Your dog is only going to be 8 weeks old. You should wait until the puppy grows up until you buy her clothes. You can get an estimate by figuring out the size of the puppy’s parents but it’s not definate. Until your dog is fully grown, it will most likely outgrown all of it.
When I buy clothes for my dog, I check the size of the neck, the length of the body (from the neck to near the nail/butt) and also the diameter of the body.. There are many stores online where you can buy it from or even at Petco/Petsmart and local pet stores.

Your puppy is going to be very tiny so you may have a hard time finding her clothes. I live in an extremely cold climate in the winter and my dog gets very cold when I take him out so I put sweaters on him if it is below zero especially! If you want to put clothes on her that is your choice so you do what you feel like, don’t let people make you feel wrong for doing it. Everybody has their own opinion! My dog is six pounds and I buy him the XS sweaters that I find at PetSmart - sometimes they are a bit big on him. I have never seen anything smaller than that in stores, so you may want to try searching the internet - the descriptions should tell you what size you need based on the weight of the puppy. Good luck!

Honestly, think about what you are doing. You, the pet owner, are buying clothing… for a DOG. I don’t care how cute it looks, you’re buying CLOTHES. Meant for PEOPLE. For a DOG. I don’t care how many little faces your adorable little puppy makes, it does NOT enjoy wearing constricting cloth around its body. Animals want to be FREE. Not in tight little sweaters. They have FUR for keeping them warm. They are not COLD. They don’t need clothing like humans do! Why must you torture your supposedly loved animal by putting it into frilly little outfits? This should be outlawed.

Run fast, only an unreputable backyard greeder would let an 8 week old pup go. These small dogs need to be with their mom/littermates until they are around 12 weeks old.
AND, dogs are born with hair for a reason. If you want something to dress up, get yourself a dolly.

      None.
Unless where you are is extremely freezing, but otherwise dogs shouldn’t wear clothes.
You may think she likes it, but I highly doubt it.

Your puppy is very very tiny so you may want to start off by getting an XXS.

For the love of all that is holy, don’t put clothes on your dog.
