100% silk comforters are delux and light weight.
I would never get a heavy feather filler for a duvet. At least get a down comforter they are so much better. Make sure you get one that does not smell - many say they are super cleaned but still stink.
Over time the feather or down comforters deteriorate. I also think they are a nest for dust mites. Therefore I bought two silk comforters : one for summer, one for fall, and I combine both for winter. Can be easily dry cleaned.Never any odor problems. Cost is about same as for high quality down but I think silk will last longer - it’s very light weight so it does not weigh itself down. does not need constant fluffing.

Feathers are still feathers which has ’stem’ in each. Down which is the mini fluffy that is found deeper than feathers and closer to the skin is the softer. Due to size, it takes a lot for filler. If staying with feathers, smaller is better because it will have smaller ’stems’ on it; therefore, then it would be duck.
