Which is warmer a duck feather comforter or goose feather comforter? I am deciding on whether I should get a duck feather comforter or a goose feather comforter. How do I look at the labels to see which one is better?
It depends on the quality of the feathers or down.
If feathers are listed, it is poor quality. Down is the part or quality of feather that is most desirable- the higher the down content and the higher the grade of down, the better the comforter.
In general, grade, cleanliness and size of the feathers being equal, goose is generally considered more desirable than duck.
Unless it is Eider down, you are probably better off with a synthetic down product. Synthetic down performs better than goose feathers.
