Which Jersey To Wear / Hockey Question?
It is 80s night so I wanna wear a retro jersey tonight. Usually on Saturdays I wear my Hockey Night in Canada one but out of respect for my American friends was thinking of wearing my USA one, an old CCM Maska, from the 1988 Olympics, one of the first tournaments I watched and remember well. Or my old school Canada one .. I am much more of a Canada fan, but respect the fact that I live in America and many of my friends are USA Hockey fans. It’s also one they’ve never seen me wear.
Need some clothing tips from y’all though:
Hair = spikey or clean-cut with vitalis?
Shirt = all-white “a la John Cougar Mellencamp” or does it even matter since I plan on wearing a jersey over it?
Jacket = I have a Levis blue jean jacket that I really like, but it has a patch of the American Indian Movement, an organization few anglos sympathize with
Jeans = Am I better off with some navy blue ones, or sky blue
Shoes = My usual all-black Nike’s, my running shoes which are black/grey, or a pair I got at Walmart which are white with some blue and teal (if I can get the laces to fit!)
Hockey question = Do you consider Steve Larmer to be HOF-worthy?
I’m with Bob on the jersey, but if you’re going to where one, go with the US sweater.
Otherwise, Texas Tuxedo, it is. Rock your denim with the sleeves rolled up, white tee (The Cure or Hanoi Rocks both strong 80’s reference) and light jeans.
As for Larmer, he’s bit of a bubble guy. 1K points in 1K games, almost point per game in 140 playoff tilts and a cup.
His numbers are similar to Theoren Fleury’s and, since I feel the latter deserves consideration, I guess I have to extend the same to the former.
Wear big black suspenders..Big brown glasses..Flood jeans…Brown shoes and go as “Steve Urkel”
Looks like he’s wearing the Habs colors already-http://jimbocyberdoc.files.wordpress.com…
1hair=Spike #2 shirt= doesn’t matter#3 wear jacket if cold #4 sky blue
#5 shoes = all-black nike’s #6 the cure and have fun bye.
Were the USA jersey
Hair =spiky
Shirt =doesn’t matter
Jacket =don’t wear one
Jeans =navy
Shoes =use the running shoes
I’ll skip the straight eye for the queer guy foolishness (ZING) and get right to the hockey questions……
No. Larmer does not belong. One season over 100 points in an era where it was commonplace…….his only award was the Calder and he was a durable player but not HOF worthy.
BTW, wearing a hockey jersey around is tres tacky!
